District Nursing
District Nurses are located in Treatment Rooms organised by the Liverpool Integrated Care Board
The District Nurses Service provide professional nursing assessment, care, advice and support in the community for all age groups, including:
Patients who need nursing assistance to prevent any deterioration in their condition or unnecessary admission to hospital.
Palliative/terminal care patients and their families/carers.
Promotion of healthy living and advice
Patients with more complex needs, with physical disability, or with long–term illnesses.
Support and advice for carers.
District nurses will assist you towards self-care through a programme of rehabilitation. Any necessary equipment or services required will be provided.
Doctors will refer patients where necessary.
