COPD

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a reference to a group of lung diseases that prevent airflow and cause breathing difficulties.

Typical symptoms of COPD include:

increasing breathlessness when active

a persistent cough with phlegm

frequent chest infections

If you have been diagnosed with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) you will be asked to attend for a review with our practice nurse once a year. We will also discuss your treatment and assess your inhaler technique. It is important however that you bring all your inhalers with you to the clinic.
